American Battlefield Trust Park Day Saturday April 10th was a great success! Our thanks to all community volunteers and to the Fuller Center of Greater NY for bringing their volunteers. Together we can "help keep history alive" !
.
Each year during American Battlefield Trust National Park Day, volunteers across the country help their local historical sites with maintenance projects large and small. Volunteers don't need any experience to participate and their support preserves local history, making a big impact for years to come.
The Thomas Paine Cottage is looking for help with simple repairs to its one-room schoolhouse, as well as removing shrubbery, preparing flower beds, general ground maintenance, painting, power washing, and repairs to its outdoor shed.
All COVID requirements will be followed: volunteers must wear masks and stay socially distanced from other groups of volunteers not in their "pod." Volunteers must bring their own work gloves and protective eye wear, and they are welcome to bring their own tools. Thomas Paine Cottage will supply tools, extra masks, rubber gloves, and hand sanitizer on site. Water and snacks will also be provided, as well as official Park Day water bottles.
Volunteers are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the Fuller House Center, which helps provide families throughout
Westchester with food and supplies.
Registration is required so we have enough supplies for all!

PAST ZOOM PRESENTATION MARCH 31
Jeanne Zaino is Professor of Political Science and International Studies at Iona College, USA. She is the author of three previous books and appears regularly as a commentator in the national and international media. In addition to her teaching and research, she is currently serving as a political contributor at Bloomberg News.
In this wonderful book, Jeanne Zaino makes the compelling argument that much of our national frustration with gridlock, polarization, and low levels of political efficacy are the fault of the very system that confounds us.
―Alison Dagnes, Professor, Shippensburg University, USA
