The Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Association is pleased to announce the Paine Cottage will once again be part of ArtsFest weekend this October 21-23
We are offering programming and events for all ages! !!

Colonial Tavern Pirates Night 2022

We celebrate Thomas Paine joining the crew of the privateer ship King of Prussia at age 19, serving for one year during the Seven Years' War. Paine was not a pirate but pirates will take over the Paine Cottage for ArtsFest. Know the difference between pirate and privateer? Find out more here.

Haunted Pirate Festival

Pirates run wild at the Paine Cottage for our Haunted Pirates Festival.
We continue honoring Thomas Paine’s time as a privateer by hosting a jolly good ole family time.
*A scavenger hunt for pirate treasure
*Trick or Treat at our haunted schoolhouse
*Win a prize at one of our pirate games
*Meet real life pirates
*Decorate a pumpkin and other arts & crafts
$15 per child includes all cottage activities

The Thomas Paine Cottage will be opened for free self-guided tours featuring artists Jennifer & Adele Veres with a one of a kind JC Leyendecker and two special event exhibits - Paine to Pain Trail Half Marathon History and American Pie and its connection to New Rochelle, NY

Come out for the annual Artisan Market with over 40 vendors, music, and food. On the historic grounds of the Thomas Paine Cottage 20 Sicard Avenue New Rochelle, NY 10804. Presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
